We wouldn’t fit over anyone else’s prep work we accept liability for it and it becomes a nightmare when it’s done incorrectly.

Yes I agree but spoke to the lvt guys they said they not happy prepping the floor, then letting the kitchen fitter to fit kitchen and then to come back and lay the floor.

Fitting LVT is really giving me a headache.

It wouldn't be a problem to have the prep and fit done at the same time as pretty much the last job, although £15sqm for fitting is quite a low rate

Why do the fitters want to swerve the prep?? Have you asked them why?

Are you going with the fitters who only want to supply you Camaro/expona?

Nothing wrong with having all prep and floor fitted after the kitchen although if the sub floor is bad some kitchen units need to be fitted on a flat floor so it is sometimes necessary.

Ideally its is best to have to floor prepped and fitted after that way its much more easy and practical to change the floor in the future if needed.

Well it looks like my options are of the two fitters who are pros that they will only let me fit what they supply - fair enough (I just can't find an independent fitter - so no Westex LVT)

So I am deciding between Polyflor and Moduleo.

    Just to clarify.

I asked both pros whether they could do the following. To come prep the whole kitchen floor before the units go down, so empty kitchen. Then to put the kitchen units in and then come back to lay the LVT.

I think the current floor is not great - its half concrete and half wooden floor. Also they said I can put the skirting board down and they will lay the floor right upto it.
