Having been a carpet fitters mate for a few months now and gaining the basic knowledge I'm looking for suggestions on carpet fitting courses to get started. Living in the north east it seems floor skills is a decent option but also a decent bit of travel. Are there any courses closer that people are aware of?

I'm aware that a course won't make me a carpet fitter and under no illusions it's an easy trade to perfect but any suggestions or ideas I'd be grateful

    Thanks :)

I have a carpet shop in Morpeth and I'm always looking for a part time assistant. You could come on jobs with me a couple of days a week, as that's all the fitting I do now. I guarantee it will be as useful as any course, as we insist upon fitting perfection, and you would get paid. PM me if interested.
