Thought I’d ask one of my get us chatting posts again :)

What brands do you use? Do you mix em up or stick with one. Cordless or corded ?

me I mix Em up and was looking before and have

festool - jigsaw , hand grinder & symmetric chop saw , plunge saw
Bosch - drill drivers & sander , belt sander , jigsaw , mitre saw , plane
    Makita - multi tool
Metabo - vac , drill driver , hand grinder
Ryobi, - sander , 16 gauge nail gun , chainsaw
    De Walt - radio

Pain as lots of different battery’s but a lot of corded to as don’t go much site work if any.

I've got a mixture aswell, but mainly makita and dewalt, I've got a 'site' driver that just don't want to die so it still lives in the van but keeps getting in my way

Brands I have are evolution, makita, dewalt, erbuaer, site and a 240v black and decker drill lol

My lad (sparky) has just spent a fortune on a full Milwaukee kit

Pretty much the same as Daz. Dewault, makita, jigsaws and drills, festool rail saw. Just got a refina hand held grinder. Standard wolf duro stripper. Got some good Evolution gear too.

I tend to buy whatever is decent and on offer at the time I need it... so I've a mix of Makita and Dewalt mainly with a few Evolution for good measure. As time goes on I'm going to try and stick to one brand for ease but I doubt it will end up working...

Can you remember when you bought your first fairly expensive power tool? I think mine was a £430 door cutter in 1999

I remember winning my first gym, and walking onto a site in Nottingham which looked like a barn. About 1500 sq m all in sheet vinyl.
Within the first day or so of being on site, I had spoken to Leister and bought a grooving machine, and auto welder, with the last of the money that I had.
By the end of the job, I knew it was the best money I had ever spent on tools.
I think I might still be there grooving out now, if I had`nt.

I think that's why we now have more tools, we know we can save a lot of time and effort, plus, it's always nice to have a shiny new toy
