Gone through this option also. I would risk a LVT click on it but not a normal lvt with how uneven the floor is. I think i would need the click system to pull it all together and then the installay to stop the click system failing. However, you wont be able to uplift it again when they want.
Ye they want it hidden but they have had issues with the sewers in the past so have had to open it up a few times. Its right in the middle of a arch way also where you walk through to main kitchen area.
Bit of a long shot - can they change the manhole cover for one like the inset types you use on patios and driveways. Can then fit up to edge and lay inside frame as well. Of the neatest solution but they will allways be able to access and lift manhole out if needed
if the subfloor is damp can't you latex with a moisture tolerant product to get it smooth then use everlay/ rapidlay
my stap at the impossible job, Pastic DPM 1200 gauge, thickest but minium foam, possibly instalay, good quality 6mm ply (if you can have 9 use it) or 9 plus 6mm) then cross bond( or overlap) with another 6mm ply bonded to each other with F95 or any wood adhesive, cut plywood around trap first layer, and fit top layer of ply 100mm wider than trap, bond inside of trap to top layer with permeant adhesive and apply strong tape or tackifier on 100m overhang,if solid flex ply joints or sand as smooth as you can get,lay any LVT of your choice cutting in normally, when going over the trap you can do two things, one cut the top trap to the same shape as the ltv works out and insert one flat trap eye to lift, so the tiles will be stuck to the ply and it all comes up together with the stagger of the tiles , giving you access to the cover below or the same as above but cut to the trap size already done, if they dont want an eye in the middle they can but they would need to be very careful prising up the edge of the tile and plywood
Any solution work in the end? as to me they are asking the impossible, one of their requests is gonna have to be left out to allow all the others due to conditions of the floor.
I thought you removed it Matt lol !! It was a post from a guy called Christian that didn't make any sense what so ever !!
